The reason no one talks about them is because it is a sensitive topic for many and a lot of people don't know how to talk understand mental health issues. We need to have it so people can reach out and get help immediately. We only need to look to Europe for what to do and how they have made it so it is incredibly rare to there to be gun violence. Some examples would be mandatory training, waiting period, a mental health evaluation, a system to make random checks on if it safely stored and more.
