Consequently, the further reduction of poverty has been established to be one of the country’s sustainable development goals (SDGs). The pandemic brought about various problems to society and citizens alike. This then led to major changes not only to the Philippines but also to the entire world. It is then of utmost importance to have awareness and action for this issue as the eradication, or at the most reduction, of poverty would lead to Filipinos living better, more decent lives. To help solve this, the government continues to support impoverished and vulnerable households by introducing a social protection program with emergency subsidies that include household grants, keeping children in school, and regular health check-ups (Lomibao, 2021). However, the government should not be the only ones acting on our problems; we citizens can help too.
