This bill was passed as an effort to support clean energy. This legislature approved the acceleration of a transmission project, electric vehicle infrastructure, and joining of the regional transmission organization (RTO) (Plautz 2021). This project will construct transmission lines that will link the entire state of Nevada and is planned to be completed by 2031 (Plautz 2021). This effort has been made possible by the New Deal's, "Public Works Administration" that was founded in 1933 (PWA 2017). Essentially, The Public Works Administration centered on projects related to highways, buildings, conservation, energy, housing and more (PWA 2017). Another environmental benefit is that it diversifies Nevada's renewable portfolio and creates access to wind and hydro energy that is affordable (NV Energy, 2021). 
     
    - This bill is geared towards the economy and is planned to generate $690 million dollars and create over 4,000 jobs (NV Energy, 2021). This bill will meet future energy demands that will lead to economic growth and stability (NV Energy, 2021). Other economic benefits include diversification in investments for business interested in clean energy and supports underserved communities by creating jobs in rural areas (NV Energy, 2021).

    -This project will improve the overall system reliability because it will provide a transmission connection that will open up electric delivery capacity and allow the sharing of resources between northern and southern Nevada (NV Energy, 2021).
