Charles Darwin was hoping for lots of animals to discover food water and a place to live. Charles birth date-February 12th 1809 (200 years ago) in Shrewsbury 

When he was 9 he went to an all boys school and he didn’t really enjoy school because of Latin and Greek but he loved science and when he was 13 he set up a lab in his garden.At 16 he was sent to Edinburgh to become a doctor like his Dad , Grandfather and brother.

He wasn’t interested in becoming a doctor and looking at blood so he moved to Cambridge to become a Vicar.
But he was more interested in learning about nature and animals.

Offered a place on HMS Beagle.
(Captain was Robert FitzRoy).
Beagle set sail in 1831.
It held 75 people.(Voyage lasted 5 years) They went to South America Galápagos Islands).

Charles Darwin was born in Shrewsbury 1809.He died on 19 April 1882.His dad (who was a doctor along with his grandfather
and brother). It was originally meant to take 2 years but the H.M.S beagle was 3 years behind schedule. Charles was desperate to touch grounds on the Galapagos island to see all kinds of unfamiliar nature. He kept a journal about all kinds of birds, trees, plants and even primates. Although Charles was a doctor he despised blood. Being a naturalist he didn't have to deal with much blood. He went to a boys school next to Wales. He didn't like much subjects but he loved science. When he was older he made his shed into a science lab. His dad tried to make him to be a doctor. His dad also made him a vicar even though he got bored. One day he got invited to join captain Fitzroy on the colossal ship H.M.S beagle. Charles was born on the 12th of February 1809 in Shrewsbury which was 200 years ago. 

When Charles was 9 he went to an all boys school but he didn't enjoy school very much and didn't listen most of the time but he really enjoyed collecting the nature around him. When he turned 16, he was sent to Edinburgh by hi so he could become a doctor like his father, grandfather and brother but he wasn't interested in it since he didn't like the sight of blood. His dad thought he would enjoy being a Vicar so he was sent to Cambridge but he didn't like that either. 
But one thing he did enjoy was learning all about different animals and nature. 
Captain Fitzroy offered him a place on the HMS Beagle as they needed someone who knew a lot about nature. It held 75 people and was on the boat searching the world for nearly 5 years. The beagle set sail in 1831.

On the 12th of February 1809 Charles Darwin was born .when he was 16 he was sent to Edinburgh university to study to become a doctor but he did not want to so he went to Cambrige  to study geology .

on27th December 1831 Darwin set sail from Portsmouth. He even got a nickname in school called Gas, a bit weird 
but not everyone agreed with Darwins theory Christians didn't believe Darwin at first because they believed that God created humans at first.
When he died he was buried at Westminster Abbey.
Charles Darwin wrote a book called the origin of species but was scared to publish it until 1 day Alfred Wallace thought of evolution so he was forced to publish it since he wanted to be the first one to find out about evolution.
He also like to eat exotic animals but not owls he always had a gathering of people to party and eat exotic animals. Even though he passed his exams, still he didn't like that job, he wanted to study plants and animals and mostly nature.  John Henslow, a teacher from his school, sent him a letter saying that Robert FitzRoy, the captain of the ship HMS Beagle, was looking for someone to be the ship’s naturalist. they would need to collect new plants, rocks and study animals on their trip.
