Only in a few campuses in HISD, students and teachers get iPads as PowerUp devices. But in other campuses, like ours, teachers and students are getting hp laptops. So, it is very difficult to get In-school-Support and trainings for integrating iPad into lessons.

I have been using iPad from 2012 in school, learning every day by watching tutorial videos.

Apple is carbon neutral. And by 2030, all of their products will be too. Their plan is to source 100% recycled and renewable materials across their products and packaging, all with clean energy and no carbon footprint.

According to their recent report, Apple is working to bring their net emissions to zero across their entire carbon footprints.

"And as we design our products, we’re also using smarter chemistry to make sure they’re safer for everyone who assembles, uses, and recycles them."

Apple is committed to develop their products everyday. Hopefully in the near future, they will improve battery life, increase processing speeds and make editing, copying and pasting easier.

HISD Budget/ Plan

For 2023-24 school year, HISD is going through significant
changes in terms of leadership, budget, trainings, supports, instructional focus, etc. According to next year’s action plan, the district expects to pay approximately $102 million to implement the NES program in 45 newly listed schools.
However, I am planning to continue using my personal iPad Pro as an essential tool along school laptops, to create an advanced learning environment. I will also continue encouraging and supporting my colleagues to using iPad if they have their personal ones.
