1. When Carlson said "Now what the hell ya suppose is eatin' them two guys?" pg 107, it shows naturalism. One of the main ideas of naturalism is "Man is naturally selfish and cruel" and in the quote, Carlson doesn't really seem to care about Lennie's death and even asks why everyone cares so much.

2. "Mans ultimate goal is survival, if he can't adapt he will die." I think George killed Lennie so he could fit in or "survive". A few times in the novel Lennie states that he can't do certain things or go to certain places because George wants him to "stay out of trouble". This could have just been George looking out for Lennie, but I think George thought that Lennie was holding him back from fitting in. "Ever'body went into town, Slim an' George an' ever'body. George says I gotta stay here an' not get in no trouble" page 68.

Do I agree with the idea of naturalism?

Yes, I agree with naturalism. I'm not saying everyone is terribly bad, but people usually only do what's best for them and they usually don't think about other people. Nature also is not on humans side, nature is nature and it won't stop for us. The novel Of Mice and Men has great examples of naturalism. The examples range from Candy not being able to kill his dog, which is an example of "man is naturally selfish and cruel" to Curley wanting to immediately kill Lennie after discovering he killed his wife, which is an example of "man behaves indistinctly and in response to his environment".
