During her time in space, she worked on a project that investigated how frog embryos develop in space in an ultra-low gravity environment. She explored frog fertilization in space, as she is doing in this photo. She injected female frogs to have them ovulate, and after she carefully analyzed each batch of their eggs, only fertilzing the healthiest ones. She documented their development by taking microscopic images and re-assessing embryos.
