Civil service exam
- Exam based on literature and philosophy to determine if someone was eligible enough to hold a government job.
- Still used today in New York State if someone wants to apply for a government job.

Afterlife
- Because of their beliefs concerning the afterlife, tomb was considered a subterranean palace and fill it with items they thought was essential for the soul in their afterlife.  
- Items such as ceramics and wood sculptures of soldiers, maids, and other servants/figures.
- The tombs were decorated with murals or designs which envisioned their idea of the afterlife.
- Impacts our world as it shows cultural differences and religious practices that are still relevant today.

Shipbuilding/Transportation
- There was a Chinese sailing vessel named "Junk". Which was used and developed during the Han Dynasty. Representing the most successful ship designs in all of history.
- Impacts our world as it inspired Western shipbuilding, mostly from the Junk.

- Greek columns had three different styles or "order" by Greek architects. Styles such as Doric, Ionic, Corinthian.
- Has impacted the world of architecture greatly. As the style of columns are still used today in libraries, government homes and even buildings!

Poetry
- Although he was not alive during the Golden Age, Homer was still an influential poet who's work was very important in Greek literature.
- His most famous ones was one called Iliad and The Odyssey.
- Impacts us today because they were templates to modern storytellers and focused on topics such as war, tragedy and adventure.

Geometry and Pythagorean Theorem 
- A man named Pythagoras discovered the Pythagorean Theorem. 
- The Father of Geometry was a man named Euclid. 
- This impacts our world today because geometry and the Pythagorean Theorem is still widely used for education and other purposes like research in the mathematics world.

- One of the best poets of their time was a poet named Virgil. His most famous story called Aeneid. Which talks about about the founder of Rome.
- Another man named Cicero was a lawyer, a Roman statesman, scholar and writer. He focused his work on Republican principles. Speeches, philosophical and political treaties, as well as letters!
- Impacts our world, examples of literature to give insight of a different time.

Mosaics
- Created with stone or small pieces of colored glass, Mosaics have been found in Roman dwellings from Britain to Dura-Europe.
- The most famous Roman mosaics were made in Africa and Syria. Mosaic floors were also found in Roman villas across North Africa.
- Impacts a style of art and craft and also shows us cultural diffusion since the mosaics were not limited to Rome.

Medicine and medical practices
- Influenced by literature and the works of expert Galen, people gained more knowledge on medicines and different treatments. (How to cure them, what to do) 
- As more knowledge came, so did different technology. Surgery became more practiced and sophisticated. 
- Impacted a root of how surgery was more normalized and prior knowledge of medical help helped our world.

The Great Wall of China
- In 221 BC, after eight hundred years, emperor Yang Di of the Sui Dynasty commanded for the Great Wall of China to be repaired. This decision was carried on by the Tang and Song Dynasties. Ending with the Ming Dynasty.
- Impactful because it prevented Mongolia to invade China at that time. It also shows a good example of architecture and their culture.

Mathematics:
Abacus
- Made during the Song dynasty, the Abacus was a popular Asian mathematical tool. Once used for merchants back in China to easily add and subtract with ease.
- Still used today in math classes around the world and it can still be used to easily add and subtract.

Clock
- One of the most impactful inventions, was the creation of the clock. 
- Made by the mathematician and Buddhist monk named Yi Xing, a circular wheel that was powered by dripping water to count the 24 hour day. 
- Used greatly everyday in modern life and helps to keep track of time and the days
