This programme was organised by a fund organisation. Therefore, we were required to help them and the mosque people in preparing iftar for the people that come to the mosque. My friends and I decided to start packing the food packs containing chicken curry and beef rendang. Those food packs will be distributed to the orphanages. Each of them will get 5 food packs and what is interesting about the food pack is they are ready to eat. After that, we helped them to prepare the ingredients needed to make bubur lambuk. We divide ourselves into small groups to do different tasks. Some of us were required to cut fruits and vegetables, stir the bubur lambuk, and pour the bubur lambuk into small containers so it can be distributed to the people. The workload is not that much but it is very important to have cooperative groups. We ordered some nasi tomato from mahallah cafe and arranged them on the table in front of the mosque entrance so people that come to the mosque can grab one to eat. Meanwhile, the other group are packing the bubur lambuk and arranging them on the table. Some of us also clean the mosque compound by sweeping floors, collecting garbage around the mosque compound, tidying the wudu’ area, and arranging the praying mats and also prayer cloths. After all the preparation is done, we decided to go around the mosque and converse with the elders. We asked some questions about the situations that happened at the mosque. For example, what can be done to improve the mosque surroundings.after that, we sat together with the orphanages while waiting for Iftar. From this, I acknowledge the sense of responsibility to ensure the mosque is in good condition. As for the orphanage programme, I feel so sorry for them since they were just kids but on the bright side, I feel grateful to still have my parents. Then, we cleaned everything that was being used to prepare the food. We washed the glasses and pots, swept the floor, and arranged the tables back to their place. We thanked the mosque people for having us included in this programme and also for their hospitality. We helped the elders at the mosque tidying the mosque compound. Then, we went back to mahallah. I had so much fun interacting with the kids and my group members. In brief, I understand the importance of  networking and communicating with people as our job will be much easier to do. It is also one of the ways to practise my soft skills. I am very thankful to have such a cooperative and communicative group members, and a very understanding instructor. All in all, I learned many new valuable life lessons that build the person I am now and I am grateful for all of it.
