Ms. Bixby’s Last Day is by John David Anderson in which sixth-grade best friends Topher, Steve, and Brand learn their favorite teacher, Ms. Bixby, has cancer.

The boys intend to make Ms. Bixby’s last day teaching as memorable as possible. then she announces she has pancreatic cancer and the following Friday will be her last day teaching for the year. Ms. Bixby declares she will beat cancer and come back but then Principal McNair announces that Ms. Bixby will not be finishing out her last week.

Brand decides that even though Ms. Bixby is in the hospital, they will still give her a perfect final day.

When the boys arrive at the hospital, Ms. Bixby is surprised but happy to see them. She enjoys the fries and the cheesecake, but saves the Jack Daniels for later. As she did in class, she now reads aloud to the boys from The Hobbit, and then thanks them for what they have done for her. She tells them they have given her a better last day than she could have hoped for. She then heads off to another round of treatment. Brand comes to realize that ultimately, it is not last days that matter most, but the days before because they stay with you the longest and stand out in which the time she shared her own things consisting of cheesecake, McDonald’s fries, and wine. i liked this book it had a good story line and likable characters and a good adventure over all and it is a easy book to read so i would recommend it to any one how likes a good but easy read

Ghost by Jason Reynolds was about a poor kid living in Glass Manor named Castle Cranshaw or Ghost.
Ghost didn't start out running like most people, he only started when he decided to watch a track practice. He gets fed up with Lu getting all this credit for running when he knew he could do it himself. He starts running with Lu and gives him a run for his money, this back and forth run ended with a tie. After the meet Coach Brody comes up to Ghost asking him questions about who trained him to be so fast and what team he was on. After discussing it with Coach Brody he gave him a ride home and had him convince his mom to join the Defenders. Ghost was forced to make a "No Altercations" promise which unfortunately for Ghost was bad news, he was always not getting good grades and getting suspended. He breaks this rule when he beats up a school bully named Brandon Simmons. Thankfully for Ghost he only got suspended for the rest of the day and gets bailed out by Coach Brody. However when he steals track shoes he doesn't have such luck, ready the book to find out what happened next. I personally really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend it if you like books that keep you on the edge of your seat or you like cliff hangers. This book was also a pretty easy read only containing 179 pages so if you like easy but interesting books this one is definitely for you.

The book Ghost by Jason Reynolds was about a kid named Castle Cranshaw who soon got the nick name Ghost who lived in Glass Manor and had very little money. Ghost learned that he can run very fast but in a very horrifying way. One day as Castle was walking home from school he noticed a track time having practice so he decided to sit down and watch them. As he watch the practice one kid was getting Castle mad because he was acting like he was the best runner in the world. Soon enough Castle had enough so he got up and want on the line where Lu was. No matter how many times the coach yelled its a private practice castle stood and waited for the whistle. As the whistle blow they both ran like the wind and when is was over everyone couldn't believe it. Castle bet the best runner and that's how it all stared. Castle didn't really have friends and it was a nice change they all become close like family. Castle had a few ups and downs but no matter what he now had people to help him. There's so much more that this book has. I do suggest this book there's a lot of up's and downs and it always keeps you on your feet.

Ghost is a book about a poor kid named Castle. He is nicknamed ghost because of how fast he can run. the only reason that ghost made this track team is because when he was watching a track practice he wanted to race there top runner and he won. The coach Brody asked Ghost and his mom if he would like to join the track team under one condition set by his mom. If his grades drop hes off the team. But he breaks the rules when a school bully gets in his face so he beats him up. he manages to get bailed out of the day suspension by coach. but he gets into another Altercation he steals shoes and he really regrets it. he goes to a market and gets himself looked into the ice room. Please read the rest of the book to find out what happens. I don't reccomend this book and I really didn't like it. it had 179 pages and was by Jason Reynolds.

"Hate That Cat" is a book about a young girl that very strongly dislikes cats. She explains all the reasons why she hates cats. she hates cats because they are unpredictable you never know what they are going to do. one day she was at the bus stop and heard a meow from the sky and looked up and saw a cat. she saw her bus coming but climbed the tree anyway, when she got close to the cat she tried to get it down but the cat meowed and screeched and clawed at her. even though she was trying to help the cat, the cat didn't want the help from her. the cat left her with scratches and she was bleeding from all of the cuts. For Christmas that year she got a kitten. the kitten did something very unexpected for her. the kitten purred and curled up in her lap. the young girl was smiling, the young girl hates cats. the girls family couldn't decide on a name for the cat. the girls mom is deaf. hr way of hearing the kitten purr is holding the kittens stomach and back. that way she can feel the purr and "hear" the purr. Reading this book was very nice because i like reading books that are written in the format that this book is written in and you get hooked on whats going to happen next with the cat and what will happen with the girl. i would recommend this book to anyone that likes poem type of books

"Ghost" starts off with a seventh grade kid named Castle "Ghost" Crenshaw. He wanted to be on a basketball team, but needed to join track first. He stole a pair of shoes because he cut the tops off his old ones and got made fun of. Everyone on the team ran from or for somebody, Ghost ran from his father, who attempted to shoot both him and his mother. They took shelter in Mr. Charles store, where he continued to visit for sunflower seeds ever since. He always talked about "The Worlds Greatest" with him. After running for a while and seeming to stay out of trouble, hiding the real trouble, Coach found out about the sneakers. I'd tell you what Coach did with this knowledge, but you should probably read it yourself. I thought this book was ok, but I wouldn't read it again. It had good quality and a good story and depth, but it just wasn't too interesting with all the "I have to be the best" theme running through.
