Little Rock 9 was a group of African Americans students that enrolled in a school. When they enrolled, the Little Rock Crisis began and the students initially prevented from entering the racially segregated school by an angry mob. Later on, they were soon escorted by federal troops into the school. They soon became the highest-profile black students in the U.S. to integrate a formally all-white school.
