At first, the leader was guarded by other male moose, but then they got tired of this activity, they were more worried about their lives, so they left. Thanks to the dog's patience and perseverance, she got a large prey.

One day, Beck remembered about the owner and decided to return to the camp. But in the parking lot in the valley, he found dead sled dogs and human bodies. Thornton himself was lying at the bottom of the pond, because his footprints led there. The dog, overcome by a thirst for revenge, rushed at the Indians. He cut the throats of several of them, and they mercilessly shot arrows at him. But as a result of the fierce battle, the surviving Indians fled. Rumors spread through the valley about the Spirit that comes in the form of a dog.

After the death of the owner, Beck becomes a wild beast. He meets a wolf pack on his way and repels the attack of several wolves. Among them, he sees his old friend, the wolf, whom he used to see in the forest. Predators accept a new leader into their pack. People called him the Dog Spirit. A few years later, new wolves appeared, which were distinguished by cinnamon spots on the head, a white stripe in the chest area. The leader of the pack was not afraid of wild animals or people. He even attacked hunters.
