         <title>Poem Title:  The Night  Terrors</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Standing in front of the fireplace I can smell<strong> fumes</strong></div><div>And hear the<strong> amok</strong> sounds</div><div>That is not <strong>ambient</strong> to my surroundings</div><div>The sounds and fumes grated <strong>ceaselessly </strong></div><div>And kept me from sleeping</div><div><br></div><div>Suddenly, the sounds went <strong>idle</strong></div><div>All I could hear were <strong>embers</strong> </div><div>crackling in  the fireplace</div><div>I get out of bed</div><div><strong>erratically</strong> stumbling to the door</div><div><br></div><div>The lights flickered <strong>dismally</strong></div><div>as the moon from some dark gate of cloud</div><div>sent its <strong>mellow </strong>light</div><div>Through the purple blackness of the window</div><div><br></div><div>All silent and  dismal</div><div>The trees start to sway <strong>lethargically</strong></div><div>Creaking and breaking</div><div>It feels like a bad dream</div><div>And I wonder, am I dreaming?<br><br></div><div>I wish to <strong>evade</strong> this dream, but I am pulled further in. </div><div>I see <strong>peril</strong> in the distance.</div><div>Of a dark, slick bronze soaking into a  mossy place.</div><div><br>Of houses wherein men have lived and died,</div><div>I see haunted houses, I stand <strong>dumbfounded</strong></div><div>In front of <strong>eerie </strong>graves forgotten</div><div>A thin wind beats,</div><div><br></div><div>And blows brown leaves with curled-up edges.</div><div>All-day it's dark, slick bronze soaks in a mossy place.</div><div>My fear began to rise.</div><div>Never have I felt an <strong>enormity</strong> of emotions so deep.</div><div><br></div><div>My eyes were stabbed by <strong>incandescent</strong> light.</div><div>In the distance, I hear, “Beware the Jabberwock, my son!</div><div>The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!”</div><div>I <strong>gallantly</strong> draw my vorpal sword and swing, </div><div><br></div><div>Beginning to <strong>deforest </strong>this <strong>vast</strong> land. </div><div>I <strong>hurriedly</strong> glanced about, </div><div>The <strong>foresight</strong> of danger in my head.</div><div>The sword went snicker-snack! </div><div>I left it dead, and with its head went galumphing back. </div><div>My <strong>adolescence</strong> forever changed. 	</div><div><br><br><br></div>]]></description>
