Explain why substitution and augmentation are only enhancing learning and not transforming learning.

Substitution can replace an assignment with digital versions of itself, meaning the assignment can be typed and printed instead of written with a pen and paper. Students are able to create reports and other assignments.

Augmentation enhances substitution by enabling the incorporation of multimedia and other digital images into their assignments.

Explain why modification and redefinition are transforming learning instead of just enhancing learning.

Modification is a form of redesigning lessons and enabling students to interact with each other. Students can provide feedback to each other about their projects or reports.

Redefinition allows the student to use designing tools to reimage a lesson. They can take a virtual field trip to places that they've never been and write about it using images that are available to them. Then they can give feedback to each other to help them with their final reports.

What type of activity could you design for students that might use technology to redefine tasks done previously with paper, pencil, posterboard, dioramas, etc.?

An activity would be for students to create a padlet about cartoon characters, using a video allowing the characters to interact with each other, and they will provide feedback to each other. They will finalize their videos and post it in google documents.
