Although the characters in the book are younger (K-2 grades), there are ample opportunities that could work for upper grade students as well. Upper grade students can define and analyze the vocabulary words and phrases from the book ("strive", "elders", "uplift" "cross bridges and break down walls", "stand tall", etc...)
