My advice for you is to be open to new ideas. Seventh grade brings more work and and responsibilities, but it is also a time to open up and try out different methods of thinking or being. I encourage you to try and push yourself to do the best you can. Also, I advise you to keep your locker organized. This year, you will have many binders, folders, and notebooks. This year was a lot harder, especially during the pandemic. Hopefully for you, none of your seventh grade is remote learning. Take advantage of WIN time. For me, it's easier to get work done at school then at home.I agree with whoever wrote "get ready for math it's hard", math does gets a lot harder this year. It made me feel extremely stupid and made my self esteem in school go down. I wish I knew that you're not gonna be amazing at every subject, it's fine if some of your classes are a lot harder than others. There might be kids who are smarter than you but that doesn't mean you're not smart. I have an issue with procrastinating so I would recommend doing a little bit each day when you have a project if you can. Most of these tips by students are about work, but you should also try to stay happy. Grades are important, but so is your mental health. There is also a lot of drama in seventh grade because people are getting exposed to dating. Try not to focus on that, it doesn't really matter. My advice to the upcoming seventh graders is to make yourself happy and content and YOU DO NOT NEED SOMEONE ELSE FOR THAT TO HAPPEN. Also, 7th is the year where people change both physically and mentally and everyone will be doing those thing differently so don't feel bad or wrong or weird because you don't feel like everyone else, that is completely normal. Also, TRUST THE TEACHERS. You don't need to tell them all of your biggest secrets, but find a "point of contact" who you can go to if you need help with something not school related at school (girls especially). Also, find time for the things you enjoy. This does not mean don't do homework to go to a friends house, but manage your time wisely and make a schedule that you are good at following, your parents approve of, and that leaves time to RELAX (because that is really important). Seventh grade is the turning point of more schoolwork, projects and homework and with that comes more stress so recognize and control that because stress is good, but too much can be bad for you.
