In the book learned that you should be careful for what you wish for, and even if your family is imperfect you should not just abandon them.

I haven’t seen a lot of real life connections from the book, but one real life connection was when I felt like my family sucked and I felt like my family was imperfect because my friends parents let them play much more video games than me. I don’t feel like that anymore though luckily.

There was nothing that I really disliked about the book, just I felt like the story was incomplete.

I still wonder a lot of questions, some mysteries in the book aren’t even explained to today.

But I would recommend 10/10.

Orion Dailida

The book that I read is Interstellar The Complete Screenplay made by Jonathan and Christopher Nolan, and it is a science fiction drama. In the book, Cooper and Murph find a secret NASA facility. Soon Cooper is about to go in a wormhole near Saturn. After the worm hole, he and the crew see a black hole with planets around it. Soon Cooper is walking on a water planet with massive waves that almost swallow him and his crew. Than they go to Mann's planet to save Dr. Mann, then Mann tries to kill Cooper to go back to Earth, then Dr. Mann destroyed a part of the space craft, the crew gets on the craft and leaves Dr Mann. Then Cooper gets sucked into the black hole and has to find a way out. I give this a 9.7/10 and I recommend this book to people who like science fiction and drama.

-Malakai McRae

I read the book I Survived the Attacks of September 11, 2001 made by Lauren Tarshis. The genre of the book is historical-fiction. A boy named Lucas, who likes firefighters, and his uncle, Benny got him into football, and Benny is a firefighter. One day, Lucas is playing football when he gets a concussion and he was told that he should never to play football again. Soon, he skips school to go see uncle Benny at the fire station, then they are walking when they see a plane going to hit the North Twin Tower. Lucas is waiting for his dad while Benny is doing his job. Soon, his dad and Lucas are looking at the towers, when a second plane hits the other tower, then the North tower crumbles, so they hide in a store and when it finished, left the store and finds all the firefighters alive and good but can't find uncle Benny. The thing I liked the most is the perspective of the book. I give this book a 7/10 and recommend it to people who want to read about 9/11.

-Malakai McRae

The book I read was When Stars Are Scattered. The main character is Omar Mohamed, and he and his brother Hassan were placed in the Ifo camp of Dadaab in Kenya because of a raging war in Somalia. Their dad was killed and they were separated from their mother, so they don’t know if she is alive. The camp was tough because they were often hungry and always waiting. Hassan has a speech problem and can only say “Hooyo,” meaning “mother” in Somali, so Omar feels like he must protect him. Luckily, a kind neighbor named Fatuma takes care of them. Then, a community leader named “Tall Salan” convinces Omar to start school. Omar feels guilty leaving Hassan but knows education is their only way out, so he studies hard under streetlights since they have no electricity. As he gets older, he enters high school and makes friends who are also waiting for the UN to resettle them in America or Canada. The waiting feels like a lottery where most people lose, and after a big interview, Omar waits a nerve-wracking year for results. But after fifteen long years in Dadaab, they finally get approved for America! I really recommend this book because it has good art, is pretty deep, and shows the ups and downs of a refugee camp. 10/10

- Reagan

The next book I read was Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The main character is a boy named Harry Potter, and during his fourth year at Hogwarts, he gets mysteriously picked to compete in the super dangerous Triwizard Tournament against older students from Hogwarts, Beauxbatons, and Durmstrang. Harry has to face terrifying tasks like fighting a dragon, diving into a lake of merpeople, and finding his way through a creepy maze. His best friend Ron gets really jealous of Harry and stops talking to him, which is so annoying for him, but Hermione stays by his side and a teacher named Mad-Eye Moody helps him survive. During the final task, Harry gets teleported to a graveyard where Tom Riddle (Lord Voldemort) comes back to life and kills a student named Cedric Diggory. Harry barely escapes back to Hogwarts to warn everyone that Voldemort is back. I really recommend this book because it is packed with action, has awesome magical creatures, and the plot twist at the end is completely wild. The Harry Potter series is just one of my absolute favs too! 11/10 - Reagan

The next book I read was Cucumber Quest books 1-4. The main characters are Cucumber and his sister Almond, who must save the realm from the Nightmare Knight. They get help from a strong Oracle, rescue Sir Carrot from a tree, and steal back the Dream Sword from a thief named Saturday. They soon learn the sword only works if seven princesses sign it. After getting Princess Parfait's signature, they defeat a Disaster Master in the Ripple Kingdom and meet Princess Nautilus. In book 3, they visit the Melody Kingdom to save Princess Piano from a minion named Noisemaster. In book 4, they travel to the Flower Kingdom, but find a fashion king named Mr. R running a style empire instead of a real princess. I really recommend this series because it is super funny, has cute art, and is full of wild adventures. 10/10 - Reagan
