first i would times 4 x 6 and get 24 so the i would 4 x 3 and get 12 but i have to add the 2 then it would be 14 but then i add the 4 from 24 and get 144

One way that I would do it would to start off putting 36 on the top and 4 on the bottom, then i would multiply 6 x 4 and figure out that that is 24 so then I would put the two on top of the 3 and and then do 4 x 3 and figure out that it is 12 but then you add 2 because so then that is 14 but it is in the tens place so it would be 14 tens and then you add 4 so that equals 144.
