         <title>Halifax explosion</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Yesterday, December 6 1917 there was an explosion near Halifax's Victoria school of art and design completely destroying it and leaving over 20,00 Canadians homeless<br><br>The explosion is said to be caused by The Norwegian vessel SS collided with Mont bloc, A french cargo ship Killing almost 2,000 Canadians in the blast and blinding or injuring countless others, leaving many homeless and unable to work.<br><br>” Suddenly the explosion went off. …I was thinking that I was going down in deep holes all the time. Somebody said that would be almost like an unconsciousness.”<br>Said Barbra Orr, a survivor or th Halifax explosion suffering only minor injures. Canada will never forget this dark day, And may those who have fallen be remembered and honored by their loved ones. Halifax is in desperate need of volunteers to help rebuild and repair this broken city, all our welcome to donate or support families during these times.</div>]]></description>
