There is no good way to respond to something as tragic as this. Watching those videos makes it seem much much more real. It is so important to remember the brave men and women who saved so many lives and also the innocent men and women who lot theirs to these ruthless acts of terrorism. I believe that every child should learn about the tragic events that happened. The heroic people that deserve recognition and realizing that there was an immense amount of evil and hate emitted on that day. I have and immense amount of respect for the three men who attacked the hijackers and saved the White House or The Washington Memorial whatever it may have been they knew that death was imminent and decided to save other and not themselves.

The events of 9/11 are extremely tragic. When I watched the videos, I felt so sorry for the people that had to go through that horrible day. The firemen and emergency responders were incredibly brave and courageous. I got a sick feeling in my stomach when they were talking about all the firemen who lost their lives that day while trying to save others. My dad is a fireman and I know that if he had been there that day, he would have rushed in to save people and I could've lost him. I think it''s important to remember this day so that we can honor all the brave and innocent lives that were taken or forever changed that day. I also think it's important to remember the passengers on United Flight 93. By standing up to the hijackers and ruining their plan of crashing the plane into another major government building, their heroic actions probably saved hundreds of lives that day.

Many people were lost that day, many firemen, police officers, and first aid responders. 9/11 is an important day because it reminds us to remember those who were lost that day. The people who stood up and fought the terrorist on the flight 93. It is very brave to fight terrorist. I respect the brave firemen and first aid responders who went into the world trade center and tried to rescue the other people.

I just feel like something clenched in my chest as I saw the live footages of September 11, 2001. I just couldn't understand why - why the terrorists decided to do it. It was a matter of politics. The U.S. supports Israel, no big deal. But the terrorists took it too far. They planned their revenge for over a year. Some of them took flight lessons and gained the trust of Americans. Yet they just erased the trust in a matter of minutes, perhaps seconds. It was just gone. Just because a nation supports a country you despise isn't a reason to obliterate Two World Trade Centers, which the fires spread to World Trade Centers 4, 5, 6 are burning. World Trade Center 7 burns down. The Pentagon is annihilated. United Flight 93. Approximately 45 innocent people are dead just so they can help the rest of the world. You don't mess with people just because you're mad at the. It doesn't go well to either sides. Everybody just gets infuriated, and everybody's hurt. Why do people want others to get hurt? They hadn't even done anything. Why not just argue about it with the President, just to a more peaceful side? Why do you have to destroy everything you love for revenge? Once you get your revenge, it'll come back to you like a boomerang. 2,700 people died. I'm betting most of them were innocent. Now I'm just getting infuriated, but let me summarize what I just said: Don't mess with people just because they messed with you. It's not a good thing. Everybody around you gets hurt. Don't get revenge. It's not as good as it looks.

This events really important in our history because it is part of our history which is very sad, but still we have to remember about this day. When I was watching these videos I was about to start crying because the way they were explaining about this strategy was really sad. 2753 people were killed at the World Trade Center (WTC) site in Lower Manhattan when the hijacking of American Airlines flight 11 and United Airlines flight 175 intentionally crashed into the north and south towers or as a result of accidents. At the Pentagon in Washington, 184 people died when a stolen American Airlines flight 77 crashed into a building. Near Shanksville, PA, 40 passengers and crew aboard United Airlines Flight 93 died when the plane crashed into a field. It is believed that hijackers crashed the plane in this place, and not for an unknown purpose, after the passengers and crew tried to regain control of the flight deck.

These videos show so much detail about 9/11 and it's amazing to see survivors from the attacks talk about their journey. It is important to know about this day because it's not only important to know about our worlds history but it's also good to know what to do in that big of a risk of live or death. I respect the survivors, firemen, policeman, and even news reporters for being such great role models and saving peoples lives.

Its important to remember this day because it was both a sad and tragic day. The videos showed scenes of the footages and had people who either were at the scene when the planes crashed or were close to the people in those planes. I thought that this was a very sad and terrifying day for not only the people that lived in New York and Pennsylvania for also those around the world. The people around the world were probably all shook by fear and that might be the next to be hit. I understand that there were lots of warriors that were shown that day. The videos showed that there were many warriors on flight 93 and firefighters that were great heroes. This helped me understand that 9/11 isn’t only about the amount of people that we lost but about the many heroes that helped saved lives.

On September 11th 2001, the worst tragedy on American soil took place. While thinking about this event is very sad and makes you question the mindset of some people, it is important to remember. One of the biggest detail that stuck out to me is that the main hijackers of the plane took a couple flight lessons and smuggled some box cutters and wire cutters. That specifically stuck out to me because it seemed so easy. It almost makes me think, "Why hadn't anyone thought of this earlier?". Obviously, that is a terrible thought, but a great plan for the terrorists. Planes were a more typical way of travel, and it seemed like there was nothing wrong. Looking back, the security measures were nothing. And sadly, it took 9/11 for America to realize that. Thinking about the three men who took down the plane heading for the White House, really makes me tear up. They didn't have to crash the plane, nor did they have to stop them. But they did, and they truly are heroes.

September 11, 2001 was one of the most tragic events to happen to America. When I reflect of what happened 18 years ago, I imagine what I would do if I were in their shoes and this happened to me or my family. Once I started watching the videos and reading the article, I began to wonder why a person would do such a thing. This all happened because the US wasn't giving money to Islam? It's not like there going to give you money after attacking innocent people! I just honestly couldn't imagine watching the news that morning and watching the building go down. The victims and their families will always be loves and are heroes in my opinion.

With the real footage from the day the planes hit throughout the Eastern Border, it just made me feel devastated, depressed, sympathetic, and angry all at the same time. Just because of people’s actions and ideas, it can cause them to create affects on the world that I can’t even explain. Seeing all those survivors who lost loved family members made me feel so sad, and I can’t imagine what the people on Flight 93, in the Twin Towers, in the Pentagon, and so many other victims in New York City and Washington D.C were thinking. The fact that so many people’s lives were lost, including the ones who were trying to save others, shows the affects 9/11 created not just on those families who lost loved ones, but the whole world as well. When I watched the story about Jeff Johnson and Frank Razzano, it just touched my heart. To see how one person can save so many people’s lives is just amazing to me, and I loved the part when Frank said, “No Jeff. You’re my hero.” This impacts my understanding of 9/11 because although there was so much hate and fear going through everyone, it shows that you can make a positive impact by just helping others. Another detail is from the Newsela article which states, “The hijackers claimed the airplane was returning to the airport. Knowing this was a lie, a group of passengers and flight attendants decided to fight back.” This quote shows how the hijackers were actually really committed into tricking the cabin crew and the passengers and actually wanted to hurt people. Furthermore, it shows how because of the passengers and cabin crew’s courage and bravery, it stopped the hijackers from hurting America even more. They were in the direction of the White House, so imagine what would have happened if the monument, and even the president were killed! To conclude, 9/11 was a day full of fear and tragedy, but with some heroism, it saved people’s lives.

After seeing and reading more about September 11th. I realized the impact that this event not only had in the past but the impact it still has today. Hearing people describe 9/11 was incredibly saddening. Especially on United Airlines flight 93. Hearing about the people who were brave and decided to stand up against the terrorists saved lives. When I heard how the flight passengers stood up to the terrorists I tried to imagine what it would have been like to be in there situation, knowing you might die in the next 5 minutes. When I read about the numerous lives that were taken from 9/11 I was not surprised that a large amount were police and firemen. Thinking about the sacrifice that they made that day is hard. When I thought about how their sacrifice saved so many people and how their families must have felt after this tragic event, it made me scared. It could have happened to anybody. Thousands across America probably lost a member of their family. The sacrifice that the brave made should never be forgotten. The taken lives that were innocent are equally important. They are a tragic reminder that this day was filled with destruction.

September 11th, 2001. This very date was perhaps the most influential days in American history. Four planes were hijacked by terrorists. Every one of these planes had crashed, causing more than just the people in the plane to get killed. One of these planes crashed into the Pentagon, a U.S. Military base. Two of the planes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, New York. The terrorist on the last plane to be hijacked was attacked by three men who stood up to fight. The plane, having no pilot, crashed into a field at high speeds. Everyone on the plane died, and those three men were considered heroes.

Remembering 9/11 is both a very sad thing to do but important to learn about this day. I personally was an emotional wreck learning and watching these videos, but thats ok. Its impossible for me to wrap my head around the fact that these attacks were done by humans, obviously they were human but its hard to believe someone can cause such destruction and devastation. When I visited the World Trade Center this past spring I had no idea how truly horrible these attacks were it left me in tears. 9/11 is important to learn about because its history and not just history but our country's history. The morning of 9/11 a plane crashed into the first twin tower. People on the streets were thrown off guard and thought it was just a horrific accident. Minutes later a plane crashed into the second tower, this tower collapsed quickly after being hit. After the second collapsed the first went down as well. The dust cloud it created it self sent the people running in terror, dodging the flying debris. The third plane crashed into the pentagon killing hundreds as well. The third plane, Flight 93, the location of the attack is unknown. The passengers on the flight got info. on what was happening. So they fought back, the managed to flip the plan causing it crash into a field in Pennsylvania. The hole it left is the grave of all on the flight who risked their lives not knowing how many they were going to save by doing so, they are true heros, and showed America a true act of heroism. Watching 9/11 survivors tell their story made me feel deeply grateful. Listening to Frank Razzano talk about Jeff Johnson made my heartache. Also listening to the survivors at the pentagon, it touched me how Mark Lewis said "Hard working, well meaning citizens of the United States who were supporting their family, supporting their government, and are true professionals." while he was tearing up made me cry all the tears I had left. Mark Lewis and Kathy Dillaber sum up the reasons you have to support one and other and love not hate. "There is comradery there and you support each other. It is something that bonds you for the rest of your life. And I come to work everyday. still at the pentagon, and I think of them. So you take on a responsibility to carry on the mission, in their memory, as they would if something had happened to you." -Mark Lewis
It is important to honor those who passed away and those who fought on this day, for the rest of your days. The world has not been the same since 9/11, and it never will.

I could imagine the pain and sadness of the people who were watching as this happened right in front of their eyes. Imagine waking up today, what you think is a normal day, and then the unthinkable happened. And then the people on the plane having to say goodbye to their loved ones. Just thinking about this day makes me feel horrible. But I admire the bravery of the people who sacrificed their lives for the people on the plane and their country. Their courage did not go unrecognized. Which is exactly what they deserve, to be known as the hero’s they are, and to be at peace. I can’t believe it’s been 18 years. I wasn’t even alive. But what the Hero’s did all those years ago was incredible, they changed the course of history.

When I was younger, at my old school, we had a day when we talked about 9/11 and watched videos about it. The first time I learned about this, I was pretty messed up for about a week. I was constantly thinking about it and feeling sad. But now, I feel I've developed a partial immunity to the sadness of the 9/11 videos. I still understand the magnitude of the tragedy that occurred, but now, instead of sadness, I just feel really, really mad. There's not many people who have died from anything other than old age that I feel really deserved it. Some of those people I think did deserve their early grave are men like Hitler and Genghis Khan. Bin Laden is one of the people I feel deserved his death. He is arguably the worst man to live in the 21st century. 9/11 has always made me upset, but it hit me less hard this time than the ones before.

I was watching the videos on this topic and I am not really the person who gets emotional so I did not feel anything. This was a new topic for me because at my old school I did not learn about 9/11. I saw in the video planes hitting the twin tower and everyone from the video was running and screaming in fear. It seems this was a very tragic moment.

I think it is important to remember 9/11 or remember anything. We learned from this about what we can do differently to prevent another attack from anyone. A source I used was my dad. he was there and worked a block away when the attack happened. He said people thought it was an accident. maybe a malfunction in the plane or perhaps another issue in the plane. He said people were a little cautious but nobody suspected it was on purpose. However when the second plane crashed, he said everybody knew it was on purpose and everyone was running and scared. From what he remembered it was a lot scarier as people didn't know if more things would happen and more planes crashing into buildings. One of the videos on edpuzzle showed how a few men on the plane managed to stop an attack somewhere else and it crashed on the ground. everyone died but the most likely prevented more deaths.
