Most of the vocabulary used in New Zealand is common to the English-speaking world with only about 5% being narrowly restricted to New Zealand English. True New Zealandisms include words which have their origin in New Zealand. A major variation is Maori. Its most noticeable feature is its syllable-timed rhythm, using syllables of relatively equal length, unlike English which is stress-timed, with syllables differing markedly in length. In Auckland it is now common to hear Pacific Island New Zealand English which also has syllable timing.

Pidgin English was the dominant language in the country. While English forms much of the vocabulary basis of Pidgin, Hawaiian has had a significant impact on its grammatical structures. Cantonese and Portuguese also shape the grammar, while English, Hawaiian, Portuguese, and Japanese influence the vocabulary the most.

Australian English is the official language of Australia, having originally deviated from British English in the 18th century, after the founding of the Colony of New South Wales. It is often considered to be a mixture of standard British English and standard American English, as it shares features with both varieties. Australian English differs from other Englishes primarily in its accent, grammar and vocabulary. It is also said to be a non-rhotic variation of the language, which means that the /r/ sound is not pronounced if it is after a vowel and not immediately followed by another vowel. Australian English makes an art form out of abbreviation. In fact, there are more than 4300 recorded diminutives in Australian English, according to Australian Geographic.

Link:

https://youtu.be/9QCgqQdmr0M?si=PbH3G7OU5vstsBn4
