The world in general was very different from how it is now.  Next I will mention the 3 things that have changed the most (in my opinion):
1. Before medicine did not have so much knowledge of how to treat some diseases, now doctors have many treatment options.

2. Before it took a long time to go from one place to another, since the means of transport were horses and other animals. Now we can travel long distances quickly thanks to cars and airplanes.

3. Before they communicated by means of letters that took a long time to arrive. Now we use emails, WhatsApp or phone calls.
