It's okay, everyone makes mistakes and the only thing we can do is learn from them. For example, let's pretend you get in trouble for doing something bad. Next time when you are in that situation, if you don't do that bad thing, it will save you from having to get in trouble. Now you learned not to do that bad thing because if you did it, there would be  not so great consequences for your actions.
