         <description><![CDATA[<div>&nbsp;At 16, he was sent to study in Perugia seeking an apprenticeship. At 20, he went to Siena and then Florence to study with the best artists in those cities. He learned by using, but not copying other artists’ techniques. Because he did not use his own techniques, he was often critizized because of this.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>At the age of 25, he was invited to Rome by Pope Julius II. He was tasked with painting scenes in rooms and he did so well, Julius fired other artists with the intent of having Raphael take their places. The final product was considered to be one of the best pieces he ever created. It was an intricate piece which showed a scene of several Greek philosophers including Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle. It is a very good example of how Renissance artists used classic techniques. He also helped to bring back many classical techniques as well as a technique call Humansim. He introduced coloring, moderation, proportion, and variation.
