The target audience for my promotional video would be those who are frequent ocean users. This promotional video aims to appeal to the wider South Australian coastal community, more specifically those who are over the age of 14, who can grasp the magnitude of the issue. These can include surfers, fisherman's, Surf Life Saving club members and those who live down the beach. It will also be targeted to those who love marine life. The target audience is not gender biased, however it would be more specifically targeted to those who are a little more socio-economically advanced.

Specific organisations will be targeted as well. These include:

- The South Australian Tourism department
- environmental groups around SA
- those who live directly in the oil spill danger zone
- Surf Life Saving SA (SLSSA)
- Animal Rights advocates

These people will be specifically targeted as the health of the ocean will directly impact them.

Obviously, I would love for the whole of Australia to be my target audience as everyone should be aware of the effects if the drilling goes ahead, however starting with the listed target audience above is a good start.

I want them to feel outraged, and angry after viewing my video. I want to be able to convey the feelings of despair of marine life, but also the signifiant loss of irreplaceable nature. This will be done through the specific audio and editing of the video.

Preserving the pristine South Australian coastline is something that I am extremely passionate about. Growing up, I spent majority of my childhood down at the beach. Whether that be participating in little nippers, which later turned into Surf Life Saving or spending time with my family, SA's coastline holds a special place in my heart. It is without saying then, what Equinor plans to do will not only disrupt ecosystems, but if the inevitable oil spill does happen; it will be catastrophic to the environment.

The mind map helped to flesh out ideas for my promotional video, and I believe I have. sound idea of what I want to do now.

I haven't really done anything like this before, which added to my feelings of unease. I am quite passionate about the environment, and the conservation of our oceans and marine life. with the recent press with Equinor's plans to drill in the South Australian bight, I think that might be a good topic to focus on.

Appealing to the audience's emotions with the correct colour scheme, tone and language. Backing up what I'm saying with facts, which appeals to audiences sense of logic. And finally the ethics involved with the whole campaign.

I chose to use the colours blue, green and white for my colour theme. This theme is present on both my Padlet and my website. The reason for choosing this specific colour is:

Green is often associated with nature, which is fitting because the ocean is a huge part of our natural environment. Also, the colour green can improve readability, increasing the speed and comprehension of of the reader. It is because of this that I have chosen to include green into my colour scheme. In order to be persuasive, I need to be reader centred and increasing readability and comprehension is the perfect way to do that.

Cherry, K, 2019, The colour psychology of green, Very Well Mind, 27 March 2019, viewed: 5 April 2019, URL: https://www.verywellmind.com/color-psychology-green-2795817
