Think about someone with high energy, a bright smile, contagious laugh, and always first to volunteer to help and you are thinking about my amazing Administrative Assistant and friend of over 20 years, Neary Sim.  Why do I say she is amazing? Well, her work ethic is outstanding, she almost never misses work, always meets deadlines, and I even think she reads my mind. Neary enthusiastically and energetically tackles the duties of her job every day and tirelessly works on many projects at the same time. She completes her work quickly (in between interruptions) and is a whiz at Excel and PeopleSoft!  Neary has been a consistent and dependable resource for faculty in this school and I know they highly respect her, enjoy her personality, and appreciate that she is always willing to help.

During COVID this has been very very time consuming with teachers needed to re-do, re-do and re-do until the information and signatures all show up properly. Not having an in-person Neary was really missed!
Her organization is spectacular. Need a copy of something? It's in one of her clearly organized and labeled marked binders.
And then there are the much appreciated reminders to help not miss deadlines. 
Even when she needs to get on my case about something I should know how to do by now I know she will be there with a ready smile and helping hand. Since even *before* my first day of work at City College, Neary has helped me navigate tasks and problems, whether big or small, with a huge smile, an infectious laugh, and a willingness to always (ALWAYS!) go above and beyond. She reliably knows the answer to every question that I have - or if she doesn’t, she knows who will, and although she is always so busy, she always makes time to guide me. She is organized, dependable, and consistently kind. I love my job as much as I do in part because Neary makes things easier for all of us in our School.

She is more like family. She takes care of her "people" and goes the extra mile to hear them out and find solutions to almost everyone's problems. She truly cares about our students’ education and wants to help them succeed.

Dora is a force to be reckoned with. She isn't afraid to do what needs to be done for the students, and she advocates for her staff as well. She is a strong leader and she is definitely a valuable member of Enrollment Services and of City College. 

She has created a working environment that invites everyone to work together as a team and get the job done. All while having fun doing the job.

She is a great human being, an inspiration, and a cool boss. I can’t imagine City College without her!
