I learned best practices for student comprehension, different resources for learning like centers, and different ways to involve your community. 2) I will use this in my teaching practices by staying mindful of what my students and their families need. 3) I'd say that a challenge to this would be the bilingual part! I do not speak much Spanish and will probably not include it too much in my future classroom. However, I was also challenged through the scary thought of giving control over to your students in small groups. 4) I anticipate needing lots of different

Today I learned a lot about using diverse strategies to reach each student while teaching a lesson. Using kinesthetic movement plays a huge part in learning and helps students retain the information better while utilizing their bodies in an efficient way. I also learned to use a lot of different teaching skills. 3. The biggest obstacle I could see would be going against the traditional classroom and meeting opposition from administration, other teachers, and parents. I would hope they would recognize the teaching strategies used, though not traditional, benefit the whole child.

1.Today I learned so many different ways to include diverse learning into the classroom. From Sir Ken Robinson's TedTalk, we learned that through NCLB, education is not reaching out to students as it can. By implementing diverse learning, educators can reach their students effectively.
2. I feel like I can use much of what I learned today in my classroom. Examples include, leaning toward project-based learning and using creative learning environments.
3. Some challenges I see would include parents being okay with different learning environments rather than the traditional classroom, and being able to reach every student's needs.
4. I will definitely reach out to other teachers for support and advice. Even though what works for them may not work for me, it will be helpful to get ideas and know that not everything will work out right the first time.
5. I could definitely use some extra courage in the parent/community involvement area. This is so important because students need support all day, not just when they are in the classroom. I need to learn how to stop worrying about offending anyone and be a leader to show that the ultimate goal is working together for the students.
