I feel like we experienced just this during the outbreak of Covid-19.  It's advocating for equitable access for all students.  Ensuring our students all have the same opportunities and access as one another.  An example would be ensuring students were supplied with the technology and internet resources they needed to be successful while learning at home.  Our district, principals, educators, parents and communities ensured that our students were supported.  In addition to materialistically, teachers and administration made an effort to include parents and assist them fully.  This is empowering learning with technology.  On top of all of this teachers identified new ways to enhance their technological skills and resources so that their lessons and teaching methods were "tech" friendly.

In my art classes at Midvale Middle School we have a very diverse population and technology has been really helpful to bridge language gaps as well as a great visual supplement to our art assignments. Many of our MLL students are refugees and have never had access to computers before. During Covid we started turning in all work by taking a photo of it and submitting it on Canvas. This has been really helpful. Also, we have enough ipads for the entire class and we have been creating Stop Motion videos. The students really love it and I believe it is a really great way to mix technology with the art content.
