Some departments at the district office need to have a face lift desperately (carpet in staff lounges, carpet replacements, painting to modernize), especially PDA side.

Many employees rarely get recognition for their daily hard work, a program that is not vote based, but rather some sort of measure to praise the hard workers that is based on the actual work they do well.

Throughout the year, we do our best to schedule appointments in a way that minimally impacts our team—often using just an hour or two rather than taking full days off, ensuring our work is completed and responsibilities are covered, especially since we do not have substitutes.

Given this, I am concerned that any partial time off (such as one or two hours) is being counted as a full day and factored into our absence percentage as such. This practice feels inequitable and may unintentionally encourage employees to take full days off instead of managing their time responsibly.

Could we please get clarification on this policy? Is there an opportunity to adjust the way partial time off is calculated so it accurately reflects the actual time used?
