The decay of cilization to savagery

The book starts off as if the kids are in civilization, they come up with a way of government and vote Ralph as a leader. As the book goes on, the other kids (Jack and his group) start to descend into savagery. As the book progresses the kids start to see jack turn savage as he starts to paint his face and only wants to hurt people, turning more violent every day. Jack slowly turns other kids to his way of thinking with promises of meat. Jack ends up swaying a number of kids to join his way.
