Vibrations in Music

You can define vibrations as a distinctive, usually emotional atmosphere, capable of being sensed —usually used in plural, according to Merriam-Webster. Vibrations in music can be broad in music, there are many emotions that you feel when you listen to a certain song that comforts you. But, when you hone in and specify those vibrations as "good vibrations," then we can depict certain types of music. When you want to listen to music that make you feel joyful, you usually end up feeling good vibrations from that situation.

I like to best explain good vibrations as a connection you feel with that certain song. You feel like that artist wrote that song just for you and no one else. I experience this every time I listen to Lecrae's popular song called "All I Need Is You." This song is seen through a religious lens and can be related to those who want to have a relationship God. Lecrae talks about his relationship with God when he says, "You plus nothing is everything, you're my everything." I feel the good vibrations because being religious, not only is this song go good at flowing from one rap verse to another and is addicting to me, I can relate to what he is saying and I can reflect it on to my own life. It is heartwarming and any song that is like that where you feel a deep connection has to have good vibrations within the verses and the beats.

This song is an ideal example of this topic of good vibrations in music. Not only will the song pull you in and fulfill you with the catchy phrases and the melody, but personally it has an effect that makes me feel good. Not many songs can do that and I connect with the song in a way that makes me want to listen to it over and over again.

Our group also a fairly popular song from Khalid called Coaster. I do not feel a deep personal connection like my other groupmates do with this song, but i do still vulnerable to Khalid's soft spoken voice that is persuasive in a way where I connect with my emotions.

It's not actually and energy vibration you get from a groovy painting, but music and sound seem to travel along vibrations, you know the whole thing with mantras is to repeat and repeat those sounds...it's vibrations in everything like prayers and hymns."

- George Harrison

"When you tour, you regain the music and the connection with the audience."

-Sade Adu

This is simply just a picture of a large concert. I included it in my topic over vibrations because everyone who goes to concerts desires to feel emotions and a connection with the artist in person. It is a moment in your life when you go to this place and thousands of people come together to listen and consume a certain artist that they hope to feel vibrations in their emotions.
