*Trait-Factor Theory- KC High Career Services Corner models our career exploration methods via the trait factor theory. Through the many aptitude and personality test we have available on the site Juniors and seniors are able to gain insight as to what type of career and major best fits. The trait factor theory stresses how traits can help determine what career best fits an individual via assessments, and personality quizzes (Parson's Theory, 2016).
* Learning Theory of Career Counseling: This learning theory was developed in 1975 by Krumboltz,Mitchell and Gelatt. The learning theory states hat there are four ways a person goes by choosing a career: abilities, environmental conditions, learning experiences, and task approach (Krumboltz, J. D., Mitchell, A. M., & Jones, G. B., 1976 ). This learning theory also stresses the importance that a person does not have to stay in one career, any job can be a carer if a person demonstrates an interest in it and gains experience. This theory is demonstrated via choosing a job, or internship that best fits you or one your interested in.
