Which shows how the trust is starting to break. In the song Smiling Faces Sometimes by the Undisputed Truth shows that lack of trust. Which relates to Abigail being the secretive self she is. Throughout the drama, people who refuse to confess to dealing with the Devil after they've been accused will hang. Thus, in fear of death, people who have been accused but haven't actually dealt with the Devil confess of something they haven't done in order to escape death. In the song the lyrics display that you cant stay strong forever you have to break to save yourself from the pain they could be feeling.

Marry Warren is intimidated enough to join Abigail in her dramatic shenanigans to feel safe from prosecution and Proctor's threats.
