1. An exponent refers to the number of times a number is multiplied by itself. 2. yes I have seen and used them before and learned how they work over the summer. 3. I will try to explain u put the two down then in the corner u put the 3 over top of the 2 that is what it means I think. also the answer is 8.

An exponent is a number that has a tiny number beside it, and you have to multiply the amount it is shown. Like for example: 3^6, you have to multiply 3 6 times.
