While I specialize in elementary and middle school pedagogy, I have experience teaching grades k through 12. The majority of my teaching experience has been in grades 3 through 7, in both the English and French immersion programs. As a tutor, I have experience teaching preschool aged children to adults and everything in between. I work with adult and children ESL students, helping them to improve their language skills, including English test preparation (For example, IELTS). I have students who are in both early and late French immersion programs who need extra help in certain areas or who just want to stay ahead. Some of my students are gifted students who come to me for an extra challenge and for the opportunity to experience exciting and interesting projects and experiments. For these students it is often difficult to stay interested in the regular classroom. A single teacher in a classroom of up to 30 students of varying degrees of capability simply does not have the resources nor the time to provide these students the challenge necessary to spark their interest and encourage a passion for learning.  These students are at risk of developing negative attitudes or behaviors because they are simply bored in the regular classroom. As a teacher, this is frustrating. As a tutor, this is wonderful!
