Radiation exposure from 'overused' medical scans may triple the risk of cancer in children, a government-funded study suggests.

Every year, about 18 percent of Americans, 61million, undergo imaging tests like CT scans, which use radiation to create detailed pictures from inside the body. 

While the tests are crucial for detecting injuries, chronic diseases and cancer, repeated scans can cause small amounts of radiation, a known carcinogen, to accumulate in the body.

Dr Richard Frye has spent the better part of 20 years trying to understand how a cheap drug could ease certain behaviors of autism.

He is one of about 50 doctors across the US prescribing autistic children the $2.50-per-pill drug leucovorin, which is derived from folic acid, a nutrient prescribed to pregnant women to ensure proper brain development in a fetus. 

Traditionally given to cancer patients to help protect their cells against the damaging effects of chemotherapy, leucovorin can also be given off-label to children with autism.

In particular, it's been shown to improve language pathways in the brain, allowing previously non-verbal children, in many cases, to speak for the first time when taken daily.

Somebody to Love is a song composed by Freddie and was inspired by the American singer Aretha Franklin, whom Freddie loved, as Brian says:

It is the band's first foray into gospel music, with Brian, Roger, and Freddie forming a gospel choir. The song talks about loneliness, sadness, isolation, and love.

About the single, Roger Taylor says:

There's a lot of Freddie in this song. We tried to keep the song loose, kind of gospel-like. I think it's the loosest song we've ever done.

Freddie considered the song better than Bohemian Rhapsody:

“From my point of view, ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’: OK, big hit. But I think a song like ‘Somebody To Love’ is, in my opinion, a better composition, a better song.”

The music video was filmed at Wessex Sound Studios and was directed by Bruce Gowers, who had previously worked with the band on Bohemian Rhapsody and You're My Best Friend.

In the video, the band was filmed playing and recording the vocals, all four singing into a single microphone. Photos from the Hyde Park concert on September 18th were added.

In time, I bought a small quinta in a region surrounded by vineyards. There, I began learning about wine production, respecting local traditions and nature. Each season brought new challenges, but also great rewards.

Taking care of the land, watching the grapes grow, and tasting the first wine produced on my own quinta was a dream come true. In Portugal, I found not only a new home, but a new purpose in life.

The mornings started early, with the smell of coffee coming from the kitchen and the sound of the neighbor’s roosters. We shared bedrooms, clothes, and secrets. In the afternoons, after school, we played in the backyard until the sun went down. We climbed trees, invented games, and got our feet dirty with red soil.

At night, everyone gathered around the big kitchen table. The food was simple, but there was always plenty. Stories were told, advice was given, and even with a few fights, love was always stronger than everything else.

Today, when I think about that house in the countryside, I remember the noise more than the silence, the laughter more than the struggles. That childhood in Condado, surrounded by siblings and freedom, will live inside me forever.

We finished the AP2 English level, and i am very grateful for everything i learned, for the friends i made, and for the amazing teacher Elis.

This is my second time studying with Elis.
In 2019, when i was in high school, i had the opportunity to start and finish the basic levels with her.
After almost five years, i was able to come back and complete AP2.

My family is going to do karaoke, and my voice isn't that good, but I'll try XD.

Also, I've thought about how I can be the reflection of my parents, but I am someone new, not them.

Also when Bruno Mars asks:"so why are we, talking to each other again?" made me think about how many times I stared at my reflection in the mirror and talked with me, about what I did, what should I do, and also what will I do. And I told myself in the mirror that nobody could understand the man I am. But after a time, I'd come back to stay in front of the mirror and say it again. Tell myself that only me and you(my reflection in the mirror) could understand each other. It's one of my favorite songs ever.

I think this helps save time when tidying up.

The Connecting Minds project is amazing, but I confess that I had a little difficulty keeping up with the sessions and interacting more with my colleagues because of my busy schedule.

Despite this, I can say that I am finishing this stage knowing how to better manage English and some other support tools to study it.

When I was about five, we lived on a hill, and my house had a very high sidewalk, about eight feet high ( 2,5 meters).

My two sisters, a neighboor, and I went to play of superheroes. I was Superman and my sisters had been trappedby a villain who was my neighboor.

I put on my cape and went after the villain to save my sisters.

Since he was at the bottom of the sidewalk I had the idea of "flying" to make him unable to escape , so I jumped off the sidewalk.

To my sad surprise, I only flew for a few seconds. I climbed the hill and went home crying, saying: "Mommy, I flew, I flew."
