the alliances of world war 2 the big three axis powers were these three countries, germany , italy,  japan and the three big  allied powers  are britiain, united states, and china. Japan wanted to extend their influence by colonizing colonies in Asia but America and the Allie powers wanted to protect the colonies as well as not let Japan Grow in power.
