In world war 2, the people imprisoned in concentration camps followed the rules and did everything they could to save their life. Those who stood up for themselves and put their lives in the hands of others, ended up dead. However, like Satrapi but on a larger scale; the Allies stood up for what was right and did not allow the persecution of jews, political prisoners, etc. so they put a stop to it.
