In science currently we are learning about calculating speed and forces. I have 2 teachers. Ms Westerman And Ms Gallego.

Currently science is very fun as we do a lot of practicals and the teachers also explain each and every topic very well. An example of a practical is when we were learning about muscles, we dissected a chicken leg. We get our homework on a website known as EduCake.

Currently in Maths we are learning about angles and the different types of angles there are. My teacher is Mr Lee.

Maths is in Year 7 is harder than Year 6 but it’s a lot more fun as we get to collaborate with our peers and get to move around the class a lot more because now we get many more fun activities than in Year 6. One activity is a treasure hunt where we solve questions then go find the answer. We get set our homework on Sparx Maths.

Currently in English we just finished The Girl of Ink and Stars so I will just talk about the moment time we were around the end of this novel. My teacher is Ms Rodney. Right now English is a very fun lesson as we get to do a variety of topics such as writing a speech, questions on a book and many many more.

In class charts there is nothing much to say about except for the amount of positives and negatives I have. I have 55 positives and 2 negatives currently. I am trying my best now to not get any negatives but earn more positives.

Outside of school I have football sessions and also chess classes. For football I go to a very technologically advanced academy known as Precision Football and for chess I use a website that gives online chess classes known as TalentGum.

Currently I only have 1 Triple EEE which is the Boys Reading Club. The teacher is Miss Rodney and we are currently reading the series: ‘Amulet’.

Currently in P.E we are playing football. The inter house competitions are also going on right now. My current P.E teacher is Mr Duncan. P.E is very fun as it is one of the only subjects that has physical activities. P.E is my favorite subject of all.

My current attendance percentage is 98.1%.

I will try my best not to miss any days and to get 100%.

But I think my punctuality is quite good because I have never gotten a negative for being late.

1. What you have learnt?

In Year 7 History, we have been learning about how we use and develop our Historical Skills. My current teachers are Ms Sampson and Mr McLaughlin. Our first topic allowed us to look at different types of sources and how Historians use them to learn about the past, like oral and physical sources. We have also been using our investigation skills and our source skills to uncover mysteries such as that of the Tollund Man. Our new unit looks at Ancient Civilisations where we are going to explore different case studies on different civilisations and the impacts they had on culture, economy and countries and link this to how we live today.

2. The progress you feel you have made... what can you do now, which you couldn’t do in August?

When it was August, I found many things hard as it was a new subject but now, I am slightly more confident with the questions regarding this interesting subject.

3. How confident do you feel in the subject?

I feel both confident and unconfident in certain topics. Example, I feel confident in identifying which type of source the evidence is such as a visual or written source but I don’t feel as much in describing the image in detail.

4. My home learning has being going good as I have been able to complete all of it.

My current ATL (Attitude towards Learning) score is 2.

My target score is a S and my achievement grade is S.

Currently in Arabic we are learning about shopping vocab such as the words for specific prices of clothing such as shoes, jacket and more. My current teacher is Ms Obaidi.

I love Arabic as I get to learn a new subject and the teacher really understands my question and helps a lot.

My chosen languages are French and Spanish. In French we currently learn about different ways to describe the subject there are in your school and how they are. My old teacher used to be Mr Charef but then I got moved to a higher set so now my new teacher is Ms Ouchatar. French is very fun as we get to do many fun activities after we have completed our work. One of the activities is Detective where someone has to say something in French and the person who is the detective has to find that person. It is truly very fun.

My chosen languages are Spanish and French. Currently in Spanish we are learning about things there are in your institute/school (hay tu en tu insti (same topic as French)). My old teacher was Mr Charef but now I have been moved up a set and my current teacher is Ms Ouchatar. Same as French I love Spanish because we do fun activities after we have completed our work . One fun activity is detective where one person goes out of class and one person has to say something specific while the detective has to find that person.

In computer science we do different topics every lesson. My current teacher is Mr Suffar. This is one of my most favorite subject as I just love working on a desktop.

Currently in Real World Studies (RWS) we summarize news quizzes from different dates. My current teachers are Ms Gallego, Mr Coulston and Ms Sheahan. What I mean by news quizzes are basically what news is going on on that specific date. Real World Studies is one of the only lesson we fully use our devices to do all the work we have. We also have creative tasks such as when Australia won the ICC Cricket World Cup. We had to design a cricket jersey that is sustainable for our country.

Currently in Moral Social & Cultural (MSC) we are learning about exploring different cultural beliefs and traditions of other people and how to respect them. My current teachers are Ms Sampson and Mr Iftikhar. The aspect that I love the most about this subject is that I get to learn a lot of things about my classmates.

In geography we are currently learning about 4 figure and 6 figure grid references in a map. My current teacher is Mr Brown. Geography is a very fun subject as I get to learn about many things in the real world such as the difference between human geography and physical geography.

In Design Technology we were making a land boat. My teacher was Mr Bell. Design Tech was one of my favorites as it was one of the only subject that had 65% of the work as physical work.

Currently in Food Tech our next topic is making a stir fry. My current teacher is Ms Hobbs. Food tech is a very enjoyable subject because it teaches us the many components needed for your food not to attract germs and also teaches us how to make things.

In computational thinking we were currently learning about different topics each lesson such as the different aspects of this subject such as algorithm, decomposition, pattern recognition and abstraction. My current teacher was Ms Sroa. I absolutely loved computational thinking. The particular reason for this circumstance is the use of the desktop monitors (same as Computer Science). One more thing I loved was the variety of activities you get to choose in each lesson.
