A survey was conducted among 25 parents whose children participated in the chess project. Most parents (84%) reported that their children talked about the chess activities at home, showing that the activities were engaging and stimulating. Additionally, 76% of parents noticed their child’s growing interest in chess, while 16% observed a moderate interest.

Almost all parents (92%) believe that projects like this are useful for the development of children aged 5 and 6. Furthermore, 96% of parents expressed their willingness for their children to take part in future eTwinning projects. These results reflect strong parental support and recognition of the project’s positive impact.

The project involved 12 children of the senior group aged 5-6. According to parents, the children became more thoughtful and began to plan their actions not only in the game, but also in everyday life. Chess taught them to foresee the consequences of their decisions. The children learned to accept defeats without excessive frustration and to rejoice in victories, while respecting the opponent. The parents are very happy that their children became part of such a useful project. It not only gave them new knowledge and skills, but also gave them a lot of positive emotions and new friends. Almost 100% of parents agree to their children's participation in eTwinning projects because it develops cognitive, creative, and analytical abilities in children.

We gather their answers which were very encouraging for us. Parents beleive that the project was useful for their kids and they developed an interest in chess. The children often mentioned chess activities at home. They would like to participate in an e-twinning project next year. They also considered it very positive that their children developed strategic thinking.
