Your Digital Footprints Matter

Every day, whether we want to or not, most of us contribute to a growing portrait of who we are online; a portrait that is probably more public than we assume.
This portrait helps companies target content at specific markets and consumers, helps employers look into your background, and helps advertisers track your movements across multiple websites. Whatever you do online, you might be leaving digital footprints behind. So no matter what you do online it’s important that you know what kind of trail you’re leaving, and what the possible effects can be.
While it’s not possible to have ZERO footprints, the first steps toward reducing your digital footprint and managing your digital identity are not that hard. Your digital footprint is all the stuff you leave behind as you use the Internet. Comments on social media, Skype calls, app use and email records- it’s part of your online history and can potentially be seen by other people, or tracked in a database.
Retailers and product review sites often leave cookies on your system which can track your movement from site-to-site, allowing targeted advertisements that can show you products you’ve been recently reading about or looking at online.
All those +1s, Retweets, and Facebook comments (even private ones) leave a record. Make sure you know what the default privacy settings are for your social media accounts, and keep an eye on them. Sites often introduce new policies and settings that increase the visibility of your data. They may rely on you just clicking “OK” to whatever terms they are introducing, without reading them.
Some websites will build a list of different devices you have used to visit those sites. While this can often be used as a way to help secure your account, it is important to understand the information being collected about your habits.
Make no mistake about it – the web is listening every time you use it! It’s important that you understand what you’re leaving behind when you visit a website.

                         Think Before you Post!

              A Beautiful Tomorrow

“There is a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day.”
I really feel that there is a great big beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day. This statement has a wonderful positivity in it. Things might go wrong today ,but they will be better tomorrow. We should not think about what has happened but work for our goals until we achieve them. Everyone face criticism and failure at a certain point in life , but they make you better and lead you to more beautiful opportunities. We have to believe in our strength and capabilities to succeed. When we narrow down our perspective and regard a single day as an entire lifetime, it's our worst error. We have an entire lifetime in front of us to achieve what we lost today. Just as the sun sets it even rises more beautifully, when a terrible day ends a new day rises just a dream away. There is going to be a new day which is not a part of yesterday. And every new day is a new opportunity to enrich your life. Learn from the past and be a better version of yours tomorrow!
It's your life, live your life in your own way!

          Why We Should Be Self-Motivated

Self-motivation in simple words is the force that drives us to do things. It is the hustle we have within ourselves to work towards our goals, to put efforts into self-development, and attain personal gratification.
Self-motivation leads to success. It is the inspiration behind our behavior and actions. It is an important mechanism that helps us to reach our goal, without any external influence. Self-motivation improves our confidence and self-esteem, as well as gives us the strength to achieve our goals. One of the main reasons why self-motivation is important in our life is that it does not let us depend on others and we can achieve success towards our goals. According to Andrew Carnegie, “People who are unable to motivate themselves must be content with mediocrity, no matter how impressive their other talents.” Lack of self-motivation will lead to stress and depression which backs us to get confused and results in futile efforts.
Motivation is a regular practice; we have to do it every day to get used to it. The best way to be self-motivated is to know ourselves, identify our strengths and weaknesses. Once we are able to identify these, it will be easier for us to set goals for ourselves that are within our reach and capabilities. Knowing one’s self will also permit us to take note of our weaknesses and find ways on how to overcome, manage and deal with them. The same works for our strengths as we might even find a way to enhance them. We should spend time with motivated, energetic and supportive people. They will help us rise and see opportunities during tough times. We should cultivate a positive perspective and build our optimism and resilience. We should share our ideas and help others to be motivated. Seeing others do well will motivate us to do the same.
Luis Garcia stated it well, “Consistency is harder when no one is clapping for you. You must clap for yourself during those times. Be your biggest fan.”

As captain and vice captain of Unity House, I carried out my duties with commendable effectiveness .I spearheaded the training, supervision and overall working of my house , thus ensuring smooth administration and discipline within the school campus. Being the house captain, for the first time this year I have found that leading is not at all that easy. I had two major responsibilities: making my house win as many inter-house events as possible and at the same time helping the school function smoothly and with decorum. My experience of being a house captain was till now the most memorable one. Apart from my own studies, I also have to maintain a watch on what my juniors are doing, what are they struggling with and how to help them find out ways to overcome that. This opportunity of leading my house is also responsible for overcoming my two major drawbacks: my lethargic attitude that I had due to lack of responsibilities and my stage fear. The responsibilities that I received with my badge, slowly transformed me into an enthusiastic person who is always quick on his feet. My tenure as captain and vice captain has helped me in growing into a person who is now better equipped to deal with various situations in life.

      My experiences during the lock-down

Long gone are beautiful days when I used to play badminton and football in the garden, when I used to roam around with my friends. But now I am like a prisoner who is bound inside the 4 walls without any crime, thanks to the lock-down. Let me tell you that I am a backpacker and I love to travel a lot. And to your surprise the great destinations where I visit now a days are the kitchen, bedroom and washroom. But wait! It’s not as bad as I am thinking. I thought that this lock-down can act as a blessing in disguise. This moment was a boon for me. It gave me a chance to explore myself and taste the flavours of new experiences. I did all the things that I wasn’t able to do during school days. Since childhood I was very interested in art and craft and I used to sketch and create a lot of things. But when I entered the high school, I was not able to manage both art and studies together, so I left art. And this was the time to get back into old memories. It was a great tour in the world of craft again. Another thing about me is that I am a die-hard fan of animated movies. And in this lock-down I watched 20+ movies which I always dreamt of watching. But with all this fun stuff, I can’t quit my job that is studying. And here’s the best part, during lock-down our school has been conducting online classes which is an out of the box experience for me and teachers as well. I always read in stories that in the future, the students will get education in online mode. And I believed that it is just a dream but this dream actually became the reality. I always keep in mind that when I am enjoying and experiencing new things someone else is fighting against covid-19 in the hospital so I always took precautions against covid-19. First thing first.

Julian was walking along the roads of Manchester, the wind blowing on her face, the trees swaying in the wind. The road was completely deserted but that didn’t bother Julian in the least. As she was hopping from one foot to another, she saw a sight which made her feel dizzy and confused. A tree, few metres away from her wasn’t swaying at all. Instead, it just stood there in the wind, still. But the creepy thing which caught her attention was a red balloon which was bobbing up and down…mid-air and without any support.
She thought it was a cruel prank by one of her friends, Liam. She called out his name, but no answer came. She started to panic and she ran as far as she could. A few minutes later she found out that she was standing in the same place again. She called out for help and a clown appeared. She was shaking. Suddenly the clown said, “Do you want to float?” A creepy smile appeared on his face and he opened his mouth to the double size of Julian’s head. She screamed and her surroundings crashed down to reveal a gothic area. Everything was pitch black. She took a step forward and a light came on and on the wall was written, ‘Find a red door.’ For a moment, a glimmer of hope welled up in her heart and she thought she could get out of this mess. She ran straight, all the lights glowing up with her steps. At the end of the hallway, she found a red door. She smiled happily and turned the doorknob. As she opened it, her smile faded. There were blood stains all around the room. She shook off all the bad thoughts and started to frantically search for something that could help her. She found a long rod in the corner of the room, dumped away.
She fetched it and read the message etched on it, ‘Dozazon is searching for you. Be quick.’ She turned and heard a ear-piercing scream. Dozazon was charging towards her with his mouth opened wide and the red balloon in his hand. Julian ran toward him, the rod like a sword in her hand. She pushed the rod into his mouth and he screamed. Julian smiled and watched as he faded away and the balloon busted. She smiled proudly and within two seconds, found herself standing in her room.
She breathed a sigh of relief. She walked towards her bed and what she saw there, shook her body. There was that Red balloon, resting on her bed.

The year 2020 has been singular in its modality. With the New Normal in place, things turned
topsy-turvy, plans took a detour but we all still managed to sail through. And here we are
bidding adieu to a year which will always be there in our future references This year has been
exhausting - literally, metaphorically and of course virtually.. It was a year of great learning. We
tamed the internet and turned online. The perplexing mystery of the World Wide Web turned
into an interesting exercise of a few simple clicks. Be it teaching, meeting, or contesting,
everything turned online. In spite of the pandemic , the house activities did not take a backseat,
rather they were in full swing. The year saw the emergence of unique concepts and ideas. It
was a different medium altogether and students were eager to get involved, explore,
experiment, and contribute. A plethora of events were conceptualized suitable for the online
platform. Ranging from performing arts to quizzes, recitations to talk shows, art works to eco
friendly activities, there was something for everyone, motivating even the shy ones to come to
the fore. I am glad we could turn the tide and make the pandemic work in our favour.

"IF WINTER COMES, CAN SPRING BE FAR AWAY"!!!!

The two seasons that are winter and spring give a great lesson about life and are capricious. Nature gives the contrast of life about the problems, how contrasting they are?? Life is full of problems but there is always a way for it. For everyone's life there should be terms and conditions to keep calm and Enjoy life in its own way.

"If winter comes, spring can be far away". Everyone knows about the spring season and the feel of flowers in bed. But winter's are also not less than spring. That blanket's heat and the blushing face is always glad for every human of any age whether a kid, teen or our grand one. And the snow feels like Sleepwell Mattress. The moment of falling leaves and the born of new genes among the leaves also takes place in this wonderful beauty. But winter and Spring can also relate with two precious stones of life. So, this can be related with the life that has all the happiness, fear, anger, depression, disgusting all the full platter like a South Indian food Vada, Sambhar, Dosa, Idli in our life. But in every individual one thing is the same Life and Death, the two tools of life. So, when death comes there is also a beginning of a new life. And brings happiness in everyone by contrasting seasons.

So, The best way for living a world with a full platter is by remaining aholic to Happiness but always be sure that "Every cloud has a silver lining".
