External Conflict:
1- A memorable conflict happened between Miss Emily and Miss Lucy. 2-Miss Lucy wanted to make sure the students knew what their future would look like. Whereas, Miss Emily did not want to talk about donating and caring with the students. Miss Lucy being a rebellious guardian, continued to tell the students.
3- This resulted in a conflict between the two. This is significant because these two people had similar roles with students and they both had different views on what to do.

Societal Conflict:
1- Miss Emily and Miss Lucy could not agree on whether clones should be treated equally. In other words clones vs. society
2- significant because it shows how differently they were treated and how everything was thought twice before doing something
3- the author is trying to convey what is moral and what isn't

Character Conflict:

1. In the cottages, Kathy conflicts with Ruth about how Ruth treats Tommy in her relationship; she acts as if Tommy is always left stranded.

2. This is significant because it shows Kathy's jealousy of Ruth, and the idea of aloneness within this story.
3. He is trying to show the idea of betrayal and loneliness in this book.

Societal Conflict:
1. Throughout the story, the Madame and Miss Emily vs. Society to show that clones have feelings.
2. This emphasises the idea of the treating of clones being inhumane.
3. This highlights the morals and ethics -- or lack thereof -- of this society.

Character to Character:
1. Ruth and Kathy at the Cottages, fighting over how Ruth is mimicking everything like the behaviours of the older students to try to fit in.
2.It was significant because it highlighted the idea of an imperfect friendship and conformity.
3.The author is trying to show that each friendship can have it's ups and downs no matter how long they've known each other.

Societal:
1. Clones vs. Society
2. It is significant because it is a major conflict throughout the whole book and because the book describes Kathy's life in Hailsham and it tells us why Hailsham existed.
3. The highlighted theme through this conflict is what makes someone humane.

Char vs. Char:
1) Miss Emily vs. Ms. Lucy as to whether clones should be told what lies ahead of them.
2) This is memorable because after the children are told that they are clones, they are fixated on the idea of being human.
3) The author shows that sometimes withholding information to protect children's thoughts is important.

Char(s) vs Society:
1) Ms. Emily and Madame competing against society's idea that clones aren't human and that thus they can be treated badly.
2) This is significant because it discusses the idea that if people were to accept clones as humans, they would have to accept the inhumanity that comes with organ-harvesting.
3) The author is trying to discuss what is humane, and the inequality that exists in society.
