These shoes have sat in my closet for years since they were unrealistic to wear outside of a cheer setting, and I have been unsuccessful in selling them online. Therefore, when I saw two of my cadets in cheer uniforms, I offered either of them the pair of shoes. When I gave them to one of them- at no charge- the rest of the team took offense to me giving away the nicest shoes to her specifically. But I digress, they were of no use to me and they had utility for her and I got to feel a sense of accomplishment at my action,

I often see younger cadets being scared to lead or unsure where to find certain things on our site. Last meeting, a cadet was having tech difficulties, and at the same time, their interview for a staff position was just that day. I took the time to help that cadet figure out their tech issues and motivate them for their interview. They ended up doing great, and it made me feel happy to be a mentor :)
