  1. Be an author and date system
  •  The Author-Date citation system is primarily used by those in the physical, natural, and social sciences. Instead of using notes, sources are cited directly in the text, in parentheses, by the author’s last name, publication date, and page number(s), if necessary. A full citation for the source will also appear on the Bibliography page
   2. Consists of two forms: in-text citations and references
  •  In-text citations consist of the author’s family name and the year of publication. Authorsinitials and forenames (given names) should not be used unless this is essential for disambiguation  
  •  Reference section must list all the sources that you have directly cited in your work, in alphabetical order by author’s family name (or an alternative identifier as indicated by the type of reference)
