In the tafsir of this Surah, it was said that Prophet Muhammad SAW said “Read: 'Say: 'Oh, you who disbelieve,', then sleep at the end of it because it is freedom from shirk (associating partners with Allah)". This really stuck out to me because I have a fear of accidentally committing shirk or one of my family members committing shirk so now I have a solution to my problem!

This Surah is about what will happen on the day of judgement. What stuck out to me in its tafsir was when you have the intention to do a good deed you receive one and if you do it the angel on your right shoulder marks it down as 10x it’s value. Another thing that stuck out to me was “Then the angel appointed to scribe evils waits about seven hours to see whether he does a good action or repents, if not the angel on the right tells him to note the evil action down in his record”. I was already aware of the Mercy of Allah but everyday I see something that proves it more and more.

This Surah is about the Resurrection and the value of the Quran. Something that stuck out to me in this Surah was “Their plots will be of no avail, and Allah’s purpose will prevail”. This comforted me because sometimes bad things will happen and I’m like why God why? I know that everything happens for a reason and now I’m even more assured because Allah SWT has his own plans and no one can interrupt them.
