Project Impressions by Zura Makaradze

This project was very fruitful for us. As part of the project, I read The Boy in the Striped Pyjamas by John Boyne and The Boy at the Back of the Class by Onjali Rauf. We also completed many interesting activities. I worked on an artificial intelligence platform, used Vidnoz and Narakeet for the first time, but I would still highlight the character gallery as my favorite. Throughout this year, we learned a lot and made new friends. I want to wish each participant of the project great success.

Among the books I’ve read for this project, the one that stood out the most was The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. This book taught me a lot and transported me to another world. It’s difficult to face the reality of the period described in the book. Although it ended sadly, the most important thing is that Bruno’s and Shmuel’s death helped save hundreds of thousands of people, and their story became an example for everyone.

John Boyne's book "The Boy in the Striped Pajamas" is truly special and very emotional. It's not just a story about two boys it's a tale of friendship, innocence, and how the world, seen through a child's eyes, can be so pure and sincere that even the cruelty and madness of adults can't overshadow it.

The main character, Bruno, is truly a good and lovable person. He is honest, curious, and deeply compassionate. Even though he is only eight years old, you can feel a kindness and sincerity in him that many adults lacked during that time. Bruno's friendship with Shmuel, a Jewish boy imprisoned in a camp, shows us that real friendship knows no borders, nationality, or politics.
