In the park, there is Double Trouble Village, as well as cranberry bogs. The village was settled around 1860 and was used primarily by those who were brought in to help harvest the cranberries.

In 1778, Washington fought the British in a very hot and tiring day long battle. In the end, over 600 people were dead or dying.
