Herbert’s mother and Mr. White’s wife. Mrs. White is an intelligent and passionate woman. She shares her husband’s and son’s fascination with Sergeant-Major Morris’s stories and questions him just as eagerly as they do. She is lovingly attentive to her husband and son, although she also enjoys teasing them. Herbert’s death traumatizes Mrs. White, and she forces Mr. White to wish Herbert back to life. "No," she cried triumphantly; "we'll have one more. Go down and get it quickly, and wish our boy alive again”(page 12).

My personal opinion is that the story kind of ended in an awkward manner. I sympathize with the characters because it is not really their fault that the had fate and did not see what was coming. The story ended leaving the readers in suspense and it wasn't really specific and self explanatory. It should have ended by telling the readers if the person at the door was their son Herbert or if the paw was actually able to bring him back to life. It could have also told the readers what happened to Mr. and Mrs White. In summary, it did not say if there was a happy or sad ever after.

This piece of art relates to the story because it listed the elements of the plot of the story. This piece of art also summarize the story to make it for the readers to understand and articulate. It also gives a simple view to the readers of what it may look like if it was real and also what the environment will look like. Some readers that understands stories through pictures can easily tell what the story itself could not specify. It also explained the elements of the story which keeps the story running smoothly and allow the action to develop in a logical way that the readers can follow.

"Cause I need an intervention in this intervene between me and this monster". I chose this because it is like how Mr. and Mrs White will sound when they realize that they should have avoided the paw in the first place. "cause you never know when it will be over so I keep conjuring". This shows that the son died unexpectedly and the mother really wants him back. It also shows that the family got the 200 pounds they wished for but the lost their son in return. This song "Monster" by Rihanna and Eminem reminds me of the story and helps me to meditate on how they(Mr and Mrs white) felt through out the story.

when Mr White knew that the paw would not grant wishes for free but he had fate and wanted to try it anyway. “How do you do it”, Mr White inquired. ”Hold it up in your right hand and wish aloud” said the Sergeant Major, “but i warn you of the consequences” (page 8). This quote demonstrates the theme because Mr White had the benefit of doubt that it could be fake or better still a scam but he also had a second thought that there could still be a tiny bit of truth in the whole wish granting paw thing. It also means that many other people has tried it but did not end up well and the others who are yet to use it are aware of what happened to the previous people but still want to try their fate. They monkey’s paw had a spell put on it by an old fakir, a very holy man, who wanted to show that fate ruled people's lives, and that those who interfered with it did so to their sorrow.
