Many migrant women and girls work on farms and deal with sexual abuse and sexual harassment. Of around 160 workers there were 52 workers who went through a sexual assault in the same way in each home. "They paid the traffickers 20,000 pesos, about $950, loaned from their mother, taking frequent trips back and forth to Monterey, before being told it was safe to leave. Then they were finally transported across the border. Initially, the worker was told they would be working on a blueberry farm but was sent to a corn farming operation instead."
The way they abused workers physically and mentally while being paid nothing was one of the biggest problems farm workers went through.

Even though back then there was many issues with migrant workers feeling likes working slaves. They found that recently it's the exact same thing and that nothing has changed. It was founded in 2013 that around 27 million workers are still enslaved and that 15 million of those suffer with trafficking. No change has been done with enslavement of farm workers and that must change.
