However, Tim had a hard time being fully focused on him due to the lack of volunteers during the 3PM service. There were a lot of boys who wanted to use the bathroom but he was the only guy volunteer who could assist.

Axl was extra rowdy this Sunday.

Last few weeks, Axl was kind of improving in his socializing skills with other kids. But last sunday, he was not comfortable with others, maybe because oscar and caleb was there and he was not familiar with them. He tends to hurt others by slapping them on the face, so I had to move him outside the fences to calm him down.

No feedback since it was Kuya Karl's first time with Cairos

Vomitted at the beginning of the service.

Calmed down properly afterwards when he was able to play with some toys

Observed that he is willing to listen (repetition and gentleness is key with him)!

He cried and had a tantrum because he wanted a song to be played but the laptop was low bat. Ate Weng took over and calmed him down by asking him first what he wanted and gently explaining to him what they could do while waiting for the laptop.

Since there were only three teachers last Sunday at Heroes, they took turns watching over Axl. There's been a big improvement with Axl. It is easier to talk to and with him. Towards the end of the service, he had a few tantrums, but it lessened compared to before. They were able to calm him down. During MC2, they let him hold the clay used in MC1 activity since he still wanted to hold it. They just echoed what MC2 was saying. This helped him stay in one place and participate. Sometimes it was difficult to understand what he wanted to communicate but continued to encourage him to express what he wanted instead of crying and shouting.

Tamara had a breakdown at the beginning. She could not express her feelings properly so I asked if she wanted to sit first and cry it out.

After crying, she began to feel better and play! During praise and worship, she singing along with Bea.

No tantrums or anything!

It was his first time in champions and adjusted well so far

Tim noticed that Joseph listens and obeys more when he forms a relationship with the teacher. He had fun with Teacher Tim and was able to be more engaging.

No big tantrums!

He loves to ask a lot of questions!

Axl joined praise and worship but was not very focused. Whenever the MC called a kid to answer, Axl wanted to be called always and wanted to use the microphone. The teacher reminded him to wait for his turn.

After break time, Axl began whining and wanted a big ball he thought he could find at junior heroes. He calmed down after he sat and used a spinner toy. While he was using the toy, the teacher echoed what MC2 was saying in the Bible story.

They had to sit a little further away because other kids were getting distracted by the spinner toy and wanted to use it as well.

He began cried again after a while but calmed down after using sensory cups and small pom pom balls.

Tamara enjoyed reading the Bible verse

Axl cried when he entered heroes because he wanted the pink ball. Weng helped him process his emotions by asking questions (why is he crying?)

Weng explained Axl can use the pink ball after the coloring activity because that is the time they are allowed to play. She encouraged him to listen to the Bible story.

When Axl cries, Weng reminds him to breathe and reminds him of their agreement about the pink ball. After a while, he would stop crying.

Regarding snacks, it was explained to him that peanut butter might not be allowed for him to eat, so she will ask his mom once he is picked up.

Observed that repetition is key because he remembers and behaves again whenever Weng reminds him of their agreement.

After a bit, Axl wanted to go home. Weng explained that they need to wait for his mom and reiterated their agreement.

P.S. - the agreement is no crying, no shouting, and no spanking

Tamara was chatty and responsive today! She was able to hold conversations as well.

She was super excited to get a lollipop from the kids' store but was still patient enough to wait until break time to try it.

With some guidance, she was able to talk with some other kids as well She showed empathy and noticed from across the room that Light was crying, even asking if someone was bullying him.

She participated well in the small group drawing activity.

(Without asking) Ezra willingly opened up and was vulnerable about his dad being in the hospital for a week now. He also shared how his mom works the night shift and stays up to wait for her (until 3 or 4 am). This means he isn't getting the proper rest he needs.

He mentioned to Bugs that he has bullies in school.

• Next teacher rostered to buddy with him: Please follow up on this and ask him how he is feeling and dealing with it and if his parents are aware.

Need to take time away from social media because he began searching about the "devil's time" whenever it is 3AM

Was not able to buddy because Bea was not aware that he was there until mid-service. (Note for Bea: always check the SO board)

Thankfully, Laica buddied with him and was able to care for him. She said that he was able to participate during the dance portion of the MC2 bible story.
